POSITION SUMMARY

The Aftermarket Sales Representative is responsible for expanding Rosenbauers market penetration both domestically and internationally.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

All employees are required to support Rosenbauers Mission, Vision, and Values. The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

  • Effectively promote aftermarket machine parts/kits/upgrades by analyzing customers exiting machinery and potential needs.
  • Increase aftermarket sales volume with both existing and new customers.
  • Works with customers and dealers to identify customer fabricated parts and coordinate with engineering and production.
  • Actively works with customers/dealers to expand sales of loose parts and equipment.
  • Partner with dealers to identify their customer base needs.
  • Conduct frequent and documented communications with dealers and customers.
  • Partner with Aftermarket manager to identify Rosenbauers need to support dealer and customer base.
  • Responsible for decisions identifying and fulfilling dealers needs and increase Rosenbauers market shares.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Sales, or Finance.

Required Experience:

  • None.

Preferred Experience:

  • Able to read and understand mechanical drawings, mechanical and electrical bill of materials, and grasp basic technical aspects of machinery.
  • 2 years of industrial parts sales experience within automotive or manufacturing environment.
  • Account management experience.
  • Fluency in Spanish, German, Arabic, or Hebrew.
  • Firetruck knowledge.

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence, effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

  • Ability to perform simple tasks, such as typing a letter and using basic commands such as setting tabs, opening, and closing files, simple formulas.
  • Prior experience with a computer terminal and/or PC.

Decision Making:

  • Responsibilities are guided by a set of guidelines that provide methods for problem solving.
  • Decisions are made within these guidelines initially, and a supervisor is informed afterwards.
  • Supervisor regularly reviews the activities to determine if the guidelines have been followed.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position works in an office environment. It is a quiet environment that is temperature controlled, ventilated, and well-lit. Working Conditions will include a desk space where most of the shift will be spent, and it provides open space to work in. This office space is routinely cleaned by Rosenbauer Cleaning Services. It has access to all welfare facilities. This position requires traveling to different departments, so working conditions vary when out of the office. This can cause exposure to extreme cold or heat depending on the season. Working conditions may include humidity, wet floors, and loud noises. Most of the hazards come from machines but following proper procedures should minimize risk. There is also sometimes dust and airborne particles due to the machines being used in all of the different shops.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires sitting for an extended period with minimal standing or walking. Some tasks may require reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. During shifts, the use of hands and fingers may exceed 60 minutes, while the use of feet and legs can range from 30 to 60 minutes. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, ability to adjust focus, and good depth perception. This position may also require the use of knees, back, shoulders, and arms for up to 15 minutes at a time. Some tasks may include lifting boxes that may weigh between 25 and 50 pounds, and all positions require the ability to lift 50 pounds.
